Post setting upper and lower limits for 14bit NRPN's (>127)
Hi,

I'm trying to make a control map for my DSI evolver using NRPN's instead of CC's for so this uses a longer MIDI string with MSB at position 9 and LSB at position 12... e.g Parameter 16 (Filter frequency) has a range of 0-164...

So my base MIDI string is (assuming channel 1, spaces added in for readability)

b06310b06200b00600b02600

b06310 - NRPN MSB = 16
b06200 - NRPN LSB = 0
b00600 - Data MSB (variable)
b02600 - Data LSB (variable)

Where the combination of the Data MSB and Data LSB needs to range between 0 and 164

I can seem to get the MIDI string setup (untested as yet).. but I can't set an upper limit of greater than 127 (in this case 164)..

Any way of doing this or is the upper limit something that doesn't apply to 14 bit NRPN's .. or are 14 bit NRPN's not supported? (I really hope they are and had assumed so due to the ability to have 2 controller value positions)

cheers

Allan

btw - when limiting to a range of 0 -164 if formed correctly the Data MSB will only have a value of 0 or 1 where .. when MSB is 0 - LSB will have a value available between 0 -127 (7fh) and when 1 the LSB will have a value between 0 and 36. (24h) (e.g. 128 + 36 = 164). The manual doesn't seem to indicate the bs3x works this way... but I'm hoping it's just a language issue with the manual ..
