Post mackie and user modes
i think its great how the mackie mode displays the current mixer status for faders/tracks 1-8, but why is there also user mode if they are 'sharing' the same areas?

id like the chance to have that mixer status in the user mode too, i doubt its at all possible in later software updates?

mixer status is sent from the software and displayed on the bs3x LCD.
This is a part of the mackie control protocol.

User mode is a generic mode where you can program everything in depth, this mode does not require a software that complies with the mackie protocol.
It allows you to program sysex for instance so you can control all hardware instruments that respond to MIDI
